What Redsys TPV-PC is
Redsys is the payment network used by many Spanish banks. In TPV-PC mode, a program on the till PC sends the amount to the card terminal instead of keying it in by hand. Your bank gives you that program, called TPV-PC Implantado, together with your merchant details.
What to ask your bank
- TPV-PC Implantado, and confirmation that your card terminal model works in TPV-PC mode.
- First, the test version (with a test merchant and card terminal) to try it without real charges.
- Then, the production version with your real merchant details.
- The merchant number, the terminal number and the merchant key. Keep them safe: you enter them only once, during installation.
How CobroYa connects it to Odoo
Odoo includes Redsys as a payment gateway for the online shop, but not for the card terminal at the Point of Sale. CobroYa is the bridge: a Windows service on the till PC that receives the payment from the Odoo POS and passes it to the card terminal through TPV-PC Implantado.
The card terminal talks directly to the bank. CobroYa never sees the full card details: it only receives the result of the payment and the last digits of the card for the receipt.
No card terminal yet?
CobroYa includes a simulator: you can install it and test payments from Odoo before the card terminal arrives. It does not charge for real.
