Installation guide

From zero to your first payment from the Odoo POS, in seven steps. (The CobroYa for Windows app is in Spanish for now.)

1. Before you start

• Odoo 16, 17, 18, 19 or 20 (Community or Enterprise) on Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or your own server. On Odoo Online, install the “Import Module” edition: the addons edition has Python code and cannot be installed there.
• A till PC with Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) or 11, 64-bit, with Chrome or Edge.
• A card terminal compatible with Redsys TPV-PC and the TPV-PC Implantado software, provided by your bank.
• The merchant details your bank gives you: merchant number, terminal number and merchant key.
• The license key, emailed to you when you sign up, and the installer, from your customer area.

2. Install your bank's TPV-PC Implantado

Run the installer your bank gave you. Some CobroYa installers already include it and install it themselves: you will see it in the wizard summary. If you are going to use the simulator for now, skip this step.

3. Install CobroYa on the till PC

1. Download the installer from your customer area and run it with an administrator account on the PC.
2. In the wizard, paste the license key (from your sign-up email; if you have lost it, generate a new one in your customer area), choose the card terminal (Redsys or the simulator) and enter the merchant details.
3. When it finishes, CobroYa runs as a Windows service: it starts with the PC and takes payments even if you close the window.

4. Install the module in Odoo

1. Download the module for your Odoo version (16, 17, 18, 19 or 20) from your customer area with the Download (Import Module) button. Do not unzip it.
2. Enable developer mode and go to Apps › Import Module. Choose the file and click Import. On Odoo 16, install the Base import module app first.

Prefer to install it on the server? Download For addons, copy the cobroya_pos folder into your Odoo addons (on Odoo.sh, into your repository) and install CobroYa · Datáfono en el Punto de Venta. This edition cannot be installed with “Import Module”.

5. Create the payment method

In Point of Sale › Configuration › Payment Methods, create a new one with a bank journal and a name containing CobroYa, for example “Card (CobroYa)”, and add it to your Point of Sale. With the addons edition, also choose CobroYa as the payment terminal.

6. Allow your Odoo on the till PC

Open the Point of Sale on the till PC. A CobroYa notice with your Odoo address appears next to the clock: click Permitir (Allow). The first time it charges, the browser will also ask whether the Odoo website may access devices on your local network: click Allow too. Both questions are asked only once.

7. Make a test payment

Open the POS, make a small order and charge it with the CobroYa payment method. The amount appears on the card terminal by itself and, if the bank approves it, the receipt shows the authorization code.
